2. Purification Process
The mixture of trehalose and glucose passes through the chromatographic separation system filled with chromatographic resin. In the resin tank, since the chromatographic resin has different forces to trehalose and glucose, trehalose flows out faster than glucose does. In addition, due to the acting force of chromatographic resin, glucose flows relatively slow and should be eluted with water. The subsequent effluent is glucose. In order to further improve the separation effect, a part of glucose solution should be mixed with the initially separated feed, and then separated through the resin in order to collect high-purity trehalose solution.
