β-alanine Production
β-alanine is commonly known as 3- Aminopropionic acid and β-Alanine, C3H7NO2; its molecular weight is 89.09. It is mainly for synthesizing pantothenic acid and calcium pantothenate, carnosine, pamidronate, balsalazide, etc., and it is widely used in medicine, feed, food and other fields.

2. The Production Process
β-alanine is mainly used for the synthesis of pantothenic acid and calcium pantothenate, carnosine, pamidronate, balsalazide, etc. When using β-aminopropionitrile to product β-Aminopropionic acid, it is needed to use caustic soda liquid (sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide) to hydrolyze β-aminopropionitrile, generating β- sodium aminopropionate, and then using the continuous ion exchange system to remove the sodium ion and acquire the product β-aminopropionic acid.
